Having given this a little more thought....while I do like ground squirrels and dandelions, I do hate with a hot passion mice and rats....it could be said that I might have at times used extremely powerful barn rodent poisons in a variety of settings whenever I have found either mice or rats....and surely such poisons have also killed squires and possibly raccoons.

Because of your comment I looked this creature up...and like your dandelion, the California ground squirrel is considered a Pest...never is it noted that maybe the actual or equal pest, or maybe even the real pest is mankind. Best Wishes, Traveller
