McCoy, and his sister Spock, have been known to bring live mice into the house, and then play with them. We usually manage to catch the poor mouse, and release it back outside (probably to be eaten by an owl, but at least we give it a fighting chance). Neither was raised by a hunter mother, so they really don't seem to be interested in eating the mice they catch, or even in killing them. They just want to play. They also bring crickets into the house, and the occasional bird. Always alive. I got up early one morning a couple of years ago to see a dim shape on the ground in the living room, and two cats peering intently at it. When it started to flap its wings, I realized what it was. Thanks a lot, kitties! We caught it by throwing a towel over it, and released it outside. It flew up onto a branch, and squawked indignantly. We did once find a dead bird outside (the cats have access to most of our backyard, which is fenced in to prevent them going further), but most of the local birds seem to have the good sense to keep clear of the cats' domain.

If mouse chasing is Mc Coys??? thing then I know few places where he’d be in heaven. Not here, never had even one but I know a few others that could use the Dr’s services. Paul
