Swapped camera image for phone image. I think it's better but am happy to hear opinions.

Wide rings characteristic of fast-growing mulberry tree (not considered valuable). Good for firewood but requires at least a year of seasoning. Stump will not be ground. We generally leave them.

The sawyer took the initiative to carve his initials (when I asked him about the other guys' initials, he responded a bigger stump would be needed for all three of them).

The company he works for has done landscaping work for us for several years and has always been responsive. He and his team were working down the street when the storm hit, and he suspected we would be calling.

A lot of pretty wide rings in this one.
I had some big old maples taken down a few years ago, but never had the cutter leave his initials.
