T, I had it that way at first but it just seemed to be missing something, the source of the rotation just added the extra element to me. Paul

This is a great shot! More than fun....fabulous. (though I may have cropped the agitator from the bottom, say 10%) Traveller

Dave we also have one of those from when the kids were young and in school. It has since wise retired from active duty and lives it’s life out in the garage on a shelf collecting dust Paul

Fun shot. We have one of those attachments that goes between two plastic soft drink bottles and produces a vortex.

The cyclonic sounds it makes are pretty lame as one might expect from a small piezo speaker that I do not believe adds to the experience. I’ve seen several funnel clouds, dozens of wall clouds and been at ground zero afterwards but never had a close call with a tornado so I can’t relate to the actual sounds they make. Paul

That's a cool toy, and this is nice capture. I see from your picture in Pending that the toy has sounds too. Does it make tornado sounds?

It’s a science toy to teach kids how tornadoes form and function my grandkids have. I’ll post a photo of it in pending. Paul

I like this Paul. If you don't mind... how did you get the twister?

You are so kind Jim! You know the old saying, there’s an app for that, well there are a bunch of them on the Apple Store so I threw a dart at one and it seem to work fine. The problem is holding the phone rock solid during the open shutter. Paul

This is a great capture with a phone (or any camera). How did you get such a shutter speed?
