To me the blue is part of the story (specifically, the location), and I like the touch of color. I wanted his mouth as it added some character. Centering did not improve the image for me, probably because it was not captured directly head-on. He doesn't bite often, Guest.

Well, you certainly have and have had this my vote for this image...just excellent.
You know, you could probably use the healing tool in Photoshop to remove the blue at the bottom corners if you really wanted to. Best Wishes, Traveller

Does your dog bite?

I like it decentred (and I love the "ruffly" pun).

Dave - try it both ways, and decide which looks better to you.

Jim, would you believe I purposely put it off-center? I was going for (ruffly) rule-of-thirds with the left (the dog's right) nostril. I'll give it some attention in the next few days.

LOL. I love it. The only change I'd make, if any, would be to center the nostrils "just a hair". It shifted left now just a touch.

I'm thinking of cropping a little closer, including removing the blue at bottom left and right (and maybe also the stripe of brown food residue). Reaction?
