T - if you wanted to keep the blue sky, you can do it with layers and masks.
The edges are well defined here, so it should be straightforward to mask.
But I think if you did that, you might want a horizon as well.

BTW, for what it is worth, that is a blue sky background that I went to considerable trouble to frame...but in post processing, pulling out the copper and gold, the sky faded to nothingness...
Kind of odd, but it worked.
