An Irish Forest

I took this in Ireland almost 3 years ago. But I just resurrected it recently for an exercise in post processing. I used Lightroom primarily to post process it, using the graduated filters along the sides to darken those areas, then the oval filter to process the central moss. Finally I used the oval/circular filter to add the bright streak on the right to resemble a sun beam coming through. Sensor noise was eliminated using a combo of LR and Topaz DeNoise AI.

Really striking Jim...I am surprised (and pleased) how well you got away with iso2500...this looks fabulous...thanks to you magic. Also, people do not really know how dark the inside of a forest or jungle is. Traveller

Dave - thanks. My fellow club members really liked this final result. I'm not sure about the gnome, but I thought about a small pot of gold partially hidden by the middle tree.

Gushing. I love this! Did it win a challenge at that time?

I can imagine placing subjects in the clearing. Does anyone have a lawn gnome image handy? Not the one from Travelocity, though.
