My almost 9 year old grandson is excited to learn to cook foil meals on the grill. Now he takes orders and prepares them and of course with some help he cooks them.

He is on his way. I'll take my steak medium rare. BTW, I still remember doing my cooking merit badge. It was a stew with biscuits cooked over an open fire. Jim

You guys are much too kind! Way ahead of you Jim, if you notice his left arm (he’s a leftie) you’ll see a kids Garmin activities watch. When we first started teaching him to grill I told him that it’s the cooks responsibility to keep track of time and flip and move the packages around every 5 minutes. He is soooo pumped about it that he calls out the minutes till the next flip. This all started as a Webelos advancement requirement. Paul

A guy can never start grilling too young. I like it along with the story. Next - get him a stop watch so he can time them and know when to flip them over. I still use one. Jim
