I took the shot in Pending at https://pbase.com/cichallenge/image/170458698 laying on my stomach on the driveway.

I have not heard of "snow bees". I will investigate whether anyone has "drew bees" as photographing them at night would be difficult.

Don't you just love that rotating screen? I have used it a lot for low shots like this.

And I'll bet you have the very rare "snow bees", which only come out at night, doing the pollination for you.

I get down as low as I can without dropping a knee. Too wet. Oh, yeah. My 80D has a flippy screen!
Our snow bells have been up and blossoming for at least two weeks. I wonder how they are pollinated.

Love the angle! I’m I know daffodils come up early but wow that’s early. Paul

Thanks. I think the lens is perfect for a macro dilettante such as myself. Its IS facilitates hand-holding.
I also shot at f/2.8 (albeit from a slightly different elevation). I'll upload that to Pending for comparison.

Good capture - and a good choice for DOF.

You are getting good with that macro lens...hand held? and only f5 seems to have worked well. Traveller
