Could it be the angle. The house across the street (such nice neighbors) is offset slightly to the left. And I may not have been perfectly square to the window.

Dave - I downloaded the jpeg. When I level with Lightroom, I get about a 1 deg offset when I use the longest roof line.

Re horizon - I was looking at the house through the window. The roof line, window, and wall look tilted to me; though I didn't download and measure.

Thanks for the kind comments. Another example of just "seeing and shooting". I'm glad I did it when I did because the wind and rains took down a lot of those pretty pink and white petals. The driveway briefly looked like a good place for a wedding procession.

About that level horizon, Jim. Please help me see where the horizon is. I squared up the image around the window. Maybe our house is tilted?

The bevel gives it a nice framing.
I've seen apps that do something like that on the phone, but real beveled glass does it much better.

I like how this came out - almost a pastel look. One rule possibly broken - a level horizon.

Actually some creative thinking on your part and of course under normal circumstances who would shoot thru glass mind you beveled glass. Paul
