Layers, burning, putting blur. Lessons to be learned someday.

My favorite snow is that untracked by humans. A goose landed on the roof below the hall outside my office and left angelic wingprints.

We had a top of the line Lennox heat pump and condensing furnace installed 13 years ago and the heat pump utilized 410A. When the evaporator developed a leak a few years back I had to get new gauges and learn to handle 410 to be able to service it since the hvac company charges over 40 bucks a pound.

As far as a shadow on the shoe goes make a copy of the shoe layer, burn it black, put a heavy blur on it, slightly enlarge it if needed and move it just off center of the shoe. Then move the shadow layer under the shoe layer and adjust the shadow opacity down substantially till you like the look of it. Paul.

Good on you using 410A rather than R-22. The ozone layer thanks you.

There was snow on Saturday. Pretty much all gone now. Only Mother Nature knows whether more is coming. Or when we reach 88. If things go according to pattern, next will be mud season and then weeds.

I wrestled with adding a shadow. I've never done so before and am not sure what tool to use. While I agree it would add to the realism, I think it would have to be subtle. I did my best to shoot between the snowflakes, but a few managed to invade the field-of-view during the shutter's 1/1000 second opening. I also think the inserted object's angle of orientation could be better.

Does anyone recognize the sneaker?

The only thing I think it needs is a shadow for the shoe to help ground it. Other than that real interesting. You still have snow?? We were 88 the other day and I had to go out and charge up my A/C with some 410A since it leaks, took 3 lbs this time. Paul

Except for the snow ( ;-) ), I like it a lot.
A really good fit to the topic.
