We hiked a bit. There's a spur off the Icefields Parkway that gets one most of the way there. Parks Canada does a good job of making wondrous sights accessible. Otherwise, my wife (who was a good sport during the long day's drive from Jasper to Lake Louise) would not have been able to enjoy this view.
