Me, Myself, and I (and I)

Dallas, TX

It's always a party, when I get together with myself. Here I am, celebrating Bastille Day in typical French fashion.

It speaks well of the image that I had a strong memory of it! -Peter

Thanks Sum-Won/Peter. I think you're right. I was trying to remember whether I'd posted it before. It was probably for the creative self-portrait challenge.

Great picture, really well done! I like it now and if I'm not mistaken, I liked when you posted it quite it a long, long, time ago. -Sum-Won/Peter

Hi Traveller, Jim is correct. Camera was on a tripod. I changed outfits (shirts and hats) and positions, and kept everything else in the same place. I then used layers in Photoshop to merge the pictures, doing some masking to get things right. I was on my own in Dallas, teaching a summer course, while my wife was in Houston. We'd moved from SMU in Dallas to Rice in Houston, but SMU persuaded me to teach in the summer course for talented and gifted teenagers when my son got to be the right age. So, I was alone and bored, and, Dallas being Dallas, it was far too hot to be outside taking pictures!

I love it. I did something like this using my granddaughter as a subject - she had a blast. Traveler - "all" you need is a tripod that you position and never move, lots of patience to change outfits between multiple shots, and PS or PSE where you can put all the shots into separate layers, then use masks to bring them all together.

I'll ask, (I have no pride...lol)...how did you do this...multiple exposure shot? Traveller
