I "see" perfectly - a great explanation. And an even better idea which was very well executed. And did I mention the creativity?

BTW, as an additional note...I hope people recognize that this is...literally...finger painting...(your index finger on a mouse). Best Wishes, Traveller

It is the shade of a Tiffany floor lamp, shot and then the vertical flipped. The shadows are the light shining against my wall, the lamp was suitably smudged to give it a Modern Art feeling...but what I ended up with was not what I saw in my mind's eye...and yet, sometimes you have to stop because what you have...is either good enough or playing with it any more would destroy what positives were there...

The finger (not thumb!!!!!) was shot against the white of my kitchen stove...I am not good with masking...I never did master this in PS, damned if I know why, but chaining never worked for me...so I used the magnetic lasso and the eraser to extract the finger, feather 2 pixels, use the moved tool to properly place the finger where I wanted...this was actually quite difficult for me....merge down, and I have my...kind of Cubist distortion of space, though I was trying for a more Abstract Expressionism...

But you've got to go with what you've got....I had hard edges and black joints between the colored glass...so it is what it is.

Hope this helps.

Best Wishes, Traveller

I'm still puzzled by the shadows (at least I think they are shadows).

Oh now I get it, Finger... And paint...ing. I've got my internal time delay relays set too long. Paul. P.S. Not sure what it is but my favorite part is the thumb.

A very interesting piece of art. I like it a lot.
I'm still trying to figure out the spatial relationships.
