Fermain Bay, Guernsey

Every once in a while when the onshore winds fade, the sea-breezes take a nap and the atlantic swell has gently exhaled, we are treated to a shiny glass-like sea.

Thanks for the comments Peter and Nico. Nico, the Channels Islands are a beautiful place to explore. They have a huge tidal range (third largest in the world) and this contributes hugely to almost ceaseless varying of the coastlines. Regards, -Najinsky

Your images always make me think: that is a part of the world I really do need to visit some time. Beautiful settings and natural splendour. Wonderful.

Absolutely lovely Najinsky! I thought of the same idea, but won't be near such a beautiful site until next month. Hope I can find such a good fit with the challenge then, as you have done now.
