Pops, great composition and lighting. Very 'minimal' for one nights drinking -Stan

Let me see. I count 12, maybe 13 corks, all of them vin ordinaire. All of them consumed over a very long period of time. I learned long ago that the type of photography I like to do requires props. I save props and I've been saving corks for 6 or seven years now. They fill a large, a very large glass jar.
Most of the wine is consumed by Mrs. Pops and her mother, not me. BTW, my mother-in-law has been complaining that today's bottles don't hold as many glasses of wine as they did a few years ago. As she gets older she pours with a heavier hand. LOL
I wish I remembered exactly how I did this as I've pulled some impressive champagne corks out and I'd like to reshoot it with those. I do enjoy a glass of the bubblie.
Pops, I just returned home from a "steak night' with the boys! I counted the corks and we were a few short of your tally! I count 11 but we only demolished 6 bottles but then there were 5 of us and one of the bottles was a magnum of Jack Mann 1998 which counts for two as you would know.
So... needless to say, a taxi was in order!
Getting back to the issue, this is very well photographed. Great DOF and lighting and I particularly like the use of 'negative' space below the subject. The shadows and depth of colour are quite exquisite.
I must say, you have a very good sense of perspective and I have noted this in many of your compositions.
You place objects into a seemingly random arrangement that produce a very pleasing perspective. This is photographic skill!.... a type of '"organised chaos' that works very well.
