I understand perfectly why the image you mention, Kelly, is your favourite. To be able to understand what you call--rightly--"the grandeur" of the glacier (one of the few worldwide that is *not* "shrinking" despite of the global warning) one has to see though the different pictures. And even then--as we photographers must humbly admit--it's nothing compared to the "real thing". Thanks for having come back to my image! -- db.

I'm glad--and proud!--you both like this image. Yes, jnconradie, standing in front of that 74 meters (240 ft) high wall, you do indeed feel out of this world. The minimalism of this image--the reason for my posting it here--lies in its one single colour (albeit with different tones), Kelly. In case you'd like to see more of my short visit to the "Perito Moreno": <http://www.pbase.com/bollag/pampa_patagonia -- db.

Your glacier photographs are most impressive. Amazing those blue-ish hues. It must be totally out of this world to see this in real life.

WOW!

WOW!!

I'm not sure about the minimalism... but WOW!!!

Awesome spectacle and super shot. Is that wall like... 100 meters high?
