Many thanks, Michael, Nico and Bob
Bob: I understand your point about the subject. My subject in this series was unusual light that the theme implies. So, I was more concerned with geometry and light here than to single out a specific object. Btw this is why I have shot wide.
This series is very strong. Lots of drama, energy; superb colours combined with shadows and pitch blacks. The processing deserves to be complimented too. I like all three, this one perhaps just a fraction more than the others. Compliments!!!
I like this one better than the previous capture because the subject is more 'obvious'.
As Trav implied, the first image has an interesting perspective but it leaves me wondering just what the main subject is intended to be? The focus is sharper given that the shutter speed is higher (1/80) and the focal point good contrast (the sign approx. 17 metres away according to exif)
This capture does suffer a little in clarity because of the slow shutter speed (1/50th sec) in such low light conditions. In retrospect it may have been better to allow some noise by using a higher ISO and hence a faster shutter speed. I think the 5DII and that lens combination can give super results even at very high ISO.
Great colours and interesting subject matter. ~ Regards Bob
