How to upload to the galleries





First you've got to got navigate to the galleries and login






This will take you to the default login screen of Pbase. Here you need to enter the login and password that you were sent.







Then click on login. This will take you to the main CIC login page. It doesn't look very interesting. Don't worry, just click on *all galleries* and you should end up where you need to be







Great. You should now be at our galleries with the current challenge being at the top.






Click on the current challenge (ie the one you are trying to enter) and you should now see the sub galleries.






There are two categories you can enter, Eligible or Exhibition. There is an additional category called Pending. For this tutorial we are trying to enter an image in the Eligible category of Challenge 2, so we'll click on the Eligible gallery






This will take us inside the eligible gallery where you should see some of the entries already uploaded. We want to add our image to this category so click on *edit this gallery* and that will take you to the next screen as shown below






You don't want to be messing with anything on this page, as it relates to how the gallery looks, and has the voting booth data and challenge text stored in it. Scroll down the page until you find the upload box. Use browse to find the image you want to upload on from your hard drive (remember it should be under 300kb(= 307,200 bytes)), select it and then click on the upload image button. Once your image has uploaded, the screen will refresh. Scroll to near the bottom and you should find your image as the last entry






All we need to do is add some details to the image and we're done. DO NOT click on *set representative* as this make your image become the gallery header! Click on edit, and you should end up on the screen shown below.






At the top will be a thumbnail of your image. We need to fill in several fields to make sure your image conforms to the rules. Simple stuff here......


1 - Give you image a unique title. It must be unique as duplicate names cause havoc with the voting booth software.


2 - If you wish, tell us as bit about your image. Where you took it. Why you took it. Post processing, that sort of thing. This field is optional though.


3 - Put in your artist name. This is essential. Your image will be taken out before voting starts if you fail to do this. Your name should be the one you requested the password with, or your DPreview handle. This is purely so you can be contacted by email in case there are any queries, problems or of course if you win!


4 - Shot Date. This is essential only for Eligible category. If this is not filled in, your entry will get moved to Exhbition category before voting starts.


5 - Select your camera from the list. Again, essential for eligible category.


6 - Lens used. Optional but always appreciated.


Then just click on *Update Image* and your're done!
