No inspiration at all today, and since it was already 10' before midnight, a quick shot of my blooming orchids will have to do. Tried some shallow DoF, not really happy with it though.
One of those days I guess...

I think the shallow DoF increases the sense of depth in the picture and makes the blossom look monumentally large. A very interesting approach.

I like this a lot! Have never seen an orchid from this perspective before. I love the shallow DoF, it gives the flower a lovely softness and more appeal (to me.)
