These are photographs that I have just scanned from orginal Kodak Plus-X negatives that I shot using a Bronica SLR, 2 1/4" SQ camera. Yes, I took it all the way to the top! (I used a too small a sunshade when I took the photos; I have cropped the corners out on some of these digital copies.) At this point in time I don't remember where these pictures were taken on the tail other than bottom trail crest, top, so I don't have any real titles. (I need to look at a topo map.)
My hiking friend and I drove to the trailhead, then hiked about a mile and made camp. We got up very early the next morning (9/1/1963) and hide our things. I took with me the Bronica, extra film and lunch. Hiked all day. I got to the top about 4 in the afternoon, stayed about 20 minutes, then went back down. As I got near our camp site, I was in the dark with NO light. I remember I had to sit down in the middle of the trail to rest. Well, I got back...but what a hike. I could not do that now!
