These rooms were stabilized the way Dr. Fewkes found them in 1926.
The Elden Pueblo Project improved excavation methods have found that they were not this large, but were the same size as the rest of the rooms at the site.
The doorway is the only authentic door yuet found at the site, and suggests that these two rooms may have been home to a prominent Sinagua family.
It was later walled up and the space was turned into a corn grinding and storage area.
