Elden Pueblo

Elden Pueblo is the largest site in the Mt. Elden area (near Flagstaff, AZ). Its partial excavation in 1926 by Dr. Jesse Walter Fewkes and John P. Harrington, of the Smithsonian Institution, defined the Elden Phase of the prehistoric Sinagua culture. Its 65 rooms were home to perhaps 200 to 300 people between 1150-1275 AD. Some of the site has been restored to the condition that Dr. Fewkes found and some is in the process of being restored.

Some of the pictures have notes from the typed trail guide.

For more information, try this site (not a link): /www.archaeology.org/interactive/arizona/fewkes.html - click on the arrow at the bottom right of that page and you will find still more info.
