House of the Neptune and Amphrite contains this beautiful mosaic depicting Neptune and Amphrite, after which the house is named.
This is one of the best-preserved mosaics in Herculaneum. Neptune was the Roman god of the sea, in Greek mythology this was Poseidon.
Amphrite was his wife.
