The Central Thermae, or public baths, built around the beginning of the 1st century AD and divided,
as was then common practice, into men’s and women’s baths, with their own separate entrances.
This magnificent mosaic floor depicting a triton surrounded by dolphins is in the tepidarium,
the warm room of a Roman baths.
