The Cathedral of SS Peter and Paul, inside the Fortress, is the last resting place of the Tsars,
from Peter the Great to Nicolas II, and Catherine the Great, Empress of Russia for 34 years.
Built between 1712 – 1733, its golden spire is 122m (400ft) high.
