The Palazzo Vecchio, the Old Palace – the town hall of Florence. Construction began in 1299 and
completed in 1322, when a huge bell was hauled to the top of the tower. Much of the interior was
remodelled by Duke Cosimo I when he moved into the palace in 1540.
