Even though the village is very small, it is not exactly dark. A few too many sodium streetlights and a fully lit church plus a very small back garden led me to Go East...
I was lucky to find a site thats about 1000 yards from the village, along a deserted farm lane, that had electricity to a large farm shed nearby and was un obstructed line of sight to my house in the village.
Unfortunately there is still quite a strong sky glow from Felixstowe, but its about as dark as you can get in the east of England.
I decided to go fully robotic, using a SkyShed and a high speed link to my house coupled with ACP and all the other bits needed to ensure remote, weathersafe operation.
