At the end of the port march OccupyOakland had been told that the five o'clock evening shift had been shut down. A General Assembly meeting was immediately held and it was decided and resolved to stay at the port and attempt to shut down the 3:00 A.M. shift. This shut down was also successful and for the first time since its inception the Port of Oakland was closed for business for a period of 24 hours. Mission accomplished!
