Thanx for the comments Daniel. The EXIF data is not with me at the moment, I'll post it on this page once I'm back home.

For IS USM, I don't think it will help much with the overall colour and sharpness. IS helps to stabilise the camera so as to prevent camera shake. USM helps for fast focusing and noise reduction. For this lens, the output is rather soft, and I need to use Photoshop to sharpen the pics, sort of digital darkroom.

I quite like this picture. very natural and good color spread (evenly) for the picture. Normally, a subway station would look dull and dirty. Your picture brings out live into this place. Good composition too of the train track and the people in the background.

Could u share with me in greater details the exif or setting that you use? In your opinion, does the USM IS lens that u are using fare better in terms of color output and sharpness over a non-USM IS lens?
