A walk around Jewish Vilnius
The Jewish Community comprised 40-50% of the population of Vilnius before World War II. 3,500 (less than 1%) live there today.
Regina led the way
We came across a survivor
She spoke only Yiddish
The alley next to the hotel...
...led to the ghetto
A wall plaque maps the ghetto
...but some parts have been restored
Much of the city is crumbling...
An old view of the street
Guess the city in which the Vilna Goan lived :-)
A bust of the Goan
The entrance to the prison in the ghetto
The outline of a synagogue on a wall
A business in the ghetto
Where we ate dinner
The band was .. the band.
