Over a two week period we visited Riga, Daugavpils, Vilnius, Panevezys, and Kupiskis and St. Petersburg.
The heart and soul of the journey was the erection of a Wall of Memory in Kupiskis to memorialize the 800 Jews who were killed there by Germans and their Lithuanian allies. Our gratitude goes to Norman Meyer and his family who were the driving force behind the monument and the group tour.
Norman Meyer passed away on December 10, 2004 -- he will always be remembered.
The complete story of the trip is posted at
http://www.shtetlinks.jewishgen.org/kupiskis/memproject.htm A DVD documenting the day in Kupiskis is available at Brandeis University.
