Manchester is a city and metropolitan borough of Greater Manchester, England. It is the second-most-populous city in the UK.
The 56-km Liverpool and Manchester Railway was the first passenger railway in the world, which was opened in 1830.
The Museum of Science and Industry housed the former Liverpool Road railway station which is the oldest railway station in the world.
