Gnomesville in the Ferguson Valley Western Australia
'after the Gnomesville flood but before the great Gnomecoming!!'
A little quirky - but no more so than undies, boots, thongs or hats nailed to trees throughout this land.
Of course I wanted to visit Gnomesville which was tucked away in bushland somewhere in the Ferguson Valley
of Western Australia. It was only around twenty or thirty minutes drive from Bunbury. Considering we were
already thousands of kms from home (or is that gnome?) it was only a small detour in the scheme of things.
So there they were, hundreds of the little men, perhaps thousands by now thanks to the collective effort
of people and the ABC radio station organising a drive to collect gnomes for a gnomecoming after the great
Gnomesville flood. I wish I had gnome. If I have a chance to visit again I will bring a gnome or a friend
for a gnome. Afterall we have nailed hats and toy cars to trees elsewhere in Oz.
