7th February 2009 ("Black Saturday") - fires devastated parts of Victoria, claiming lives and property including Barreges Pyreneans.
Vivienne and David James of St Andrews, near Kinglake in Victoria, lost so much: their home and possessions, beloved Pyreneans and other animals.

August 2009 - 6 months since the fires, here are "bushfire aftermath" photos I took during visits to Vivienne and David's - an insight into the destruction.

February 2010 - Black Saturday, a year on. Some updated Kinglake/St Andrews area photos, rebuilding, regrowth, memorial service, release of butterflies,
and a new generation at Barreges Pyreneans.
