An evening was spent at Boreen Point on Lake Cootharaba (north of Noosa), dinner at the Apollonian Hotel.

This historical Hotel built in Gympie during the gold rush (1870s) and later moved to Boreen Point on Lake Cootharaba.
Around 1890 the hotel was leased to Richard Henry Cox (father of soprano singer, Mabel Cox) later major of Gympie.
The Music Hall (now dining room at the pub) is dedicated to Mabel Cox and contains interesting pieces of memorabilia
and some of her personal effects.
