April 2011
It had been almost a year since we had visited Kulcurna and therefore we hadn't seen
it since all the rains and flooding. It made for an interesting entrance - we NEARLY
got bogged in a pseudo road/swamp. The river had grown, "wetlands" had developed too,
a new home for water birds and many frogs. Our stay was brief - 24 hours, but it was
great to catch up with Belinda and Paul Hansen (sadly their Mum passed away recently).
Highlights were a Frog Walk at night, seeing PS Ruby chugging past the sandstone
Lindsay Cliffs and Paul serenading a group of boat people (Spirit of the Murray).
Thanks Belinda and Paul for your hospitality as always and keeping on with things.
I think your Mum would be proud of you.
