Black Bird

I think good light closes the gap between a mid range lens and a top range lens considerably. I can't see what another 1000 pounds worth of glass could have done to help this. Come the cloud and rain however, and its a different matter all together. With little in the bank I will just have to put my faith in the weather :-)

Best blackbird shot I have seen, fantastic details and dof.
It's not just about the lens but the person who is using it.

Very true words sometimes you just have to work that little bit harder. Great image.

He seems to be as puzzled by me as I am struck by his beauty ~V~

500mm? It would be a chunk of annual salary for a premium.

That's as near perfect a blackbird shot as you'll get at any price.

I think that you've hit the ball out of the park with this image Kevin!!! Your details and dof are superb!!!
Besides, I see that you shot this with a 500mm lens!!! I'd give my eyeteeth to have such a long lens!!! :)
