This time we went to Mitterbach
to take the new chairlift up to the Gemeindealpe at 1626m, along the crest and then downhill to "Schutzhaus Vorderötscher", after 2 1/2 houres downhill the break was very welcom Finally the last stretch down into the "Grand Canyon of Austria" - die Ötschergräben. Then came the easy part, walking trough the Canyon back to Wienerbruck where we stayed at our favorit place, a beautiful Farmhouse - Kollerbauer
-standing all alone up on the mountain within a few minits walk to the "Kaiserthron" another entrypoint to the Ötschergräben . It was a wonderful tour and worth all the sore muscles ;o)))
