A 115 year old store. The gas pump was installed in 1958. We couldn't get it to work and the store owner, Judy Brengel, called us "city folks". I guess she never heard of Slapout, Alabama.

The Brengels had recently sold the Aladdin store, its liquor license, post office, gas station, an adjacent 2-bedroom home, an outbuilding with a walk-in cooler and a seven-unit mobile home park at auction for $500,000. It also included a 17-acre tract on the opposite of Wyoming Highway 24 which includes a quarter-mile frontage of Hay Creek.
