Making Hay

I followed John's advice and like the result. I used the Thomas Newton Tones action in photoshop. This is the Silver Gelatin conversion.

I replaced the original, boring image.

We have round ones here too sometimes! Cheryl I have been wanting to get a shot like this too, but never have the time to stop. Great job!

Ah... it's obviously a different species of bale in California. Yours are less rounded, and definitely more square - and regimented! Excellent shot, superb toning. You did good.

Much better. Love the combination of regularity and randomness.

HAY, that's nice! Cool filter!!! And WHY are our hay bales square anyway?? LOL!!

I am facinated actually by the repetitive even perfect lines of the haystacks. They seem to go on into eternity.

Gosh - someone's got alot of walking to do!

Have you tried this one in B&W and cropped tighter?

Square bales. Now, that's something you don't see much anymore. I like the way they're all in rows. Actually, they seen to lend themselves better to that perspective than the round ones.
