The "Pink" Building

Downtown Chico
One of the tallest buildings in Chico! I took this from ground level, so you can see it isn't very tall. It is the
Silberstein Park Building, aka the Pink Building.

I actually got out and walked around today. I got a little bit more exercise than I thought because my first round was sans compact flash
card...arggh, I told myself I'd never do that. In the time I went back to my office got the CF card and went back around, the sky had
changed quite a bit. It got grayer and the clouds went from cirrus to more solid.

I'm amazed at how fast things change and how if you see a photo you'd better stop and take it because it may disappear in a second.

Stairway to heaven. I like the b&w better than the color.

I like the angle you took to shoot this. This is nice, but I like the color one better because of the pink building.

Love the angle and the contrast of the sky and building is very nice.

I like this! Wonderful comp! This looks like such a funky building .. I'm really drawn to the curved balcony railings, which seem to mirror the shape of the arches over the windows ... Cool looking sky, too!

Interesting perspective on the "tallest" building in Chico. I'm guessing that's what, four stories high? Makes for a short downtown! Good shot!

...And yes you are all right, things can change so fast, skies are in constant change as light conditins are changing so fast too. That`s why photography it`s fantastic, because As a mexican photographer says (If my mind doesn`t make me a bad play I guess her name is Italia) she says that "the marvelous of photography is that you can freeze one second when you like something and you can record it, as a testimony for the future" And you remind me that with your caption.

Great perspective and contrast. I like your B&W range of tones. The only little thing I could sugest(If may I sugest something with all respect), I guess I`d rather the stairs a little bit less centered.

By the way both photos are fantastic this one and the color one, eventhought I think I like this best.
