We visited Ding Darling NWR on Sanibel Island over a couple of days while we were in the Fort Myers area. This is a beautiful refuge and can provide some good photo opportunities if you are there when the tide is coming in. We managed to get some reasonably decent images of roseatte spoonbills (thanks to the 500mm lens with teleconverter), and got lucky with a group of snowy egrets working over a school of small fish at close range. We try more for action shots in this group of images, rather that just shoot birds sitting on a stick.
You're probably trying to feather your photographic cap with these images but as goes without saying they;re for the birds! Cool shots, but because I've seen so few shots of wood storks I find them the most intreguing .of all the bird species featured.
