Elm Street Route

Dallas, Texas

This is the stretch of Elm Street where the JFK assassination took place. There are permanent Xs on the street one for the first shot and 2 together for the second and third shots. The grassy knoll is on the right side of the street.
In this photo, the 2 X mark is just to the right and slightly in front of where the red truck is.
The Reunion Tower in the distance was not in existence at the time and the tall buildings were most likely not there either.
They were headed toward the freeway and on their way to the Trademart for a luncheon.

I wonder if the people who drive this road every day ever think about what took place here. Some sad history.
