I don't think we reached gale force winds but they were 25-30 kts. My friends and I were undeterred and went to lunch outdoors at the pier anyway. We were lucky to be sheltered from the wind at the restaurant.
After lunch we walked all the way around the pier in the distance and it was so windy, I couldn't get my camera up to take any pictures out there. I had to hold onto my hat instead. I could feel the wind blowing me off course.
