Where I live, all the neighborhoods have names. I've always known that my neighborhood was the Golden Hills. I never paid much attention to that fact because when you are driving in and out all the time, you don't even notice.
Now that I have had the opportunity to walk all over the neighborhood, I see why it's called Golden Hills. When you are on foot, it is very hilly!
I purposely put the "stop" in this image because I am standing at the top of the Golden Hills border with Hermosa Beach. This is looking east and behind me is Hermosa Beach.
I like to tease my friends who live in Hermosa that they must bring their passports when they cross the border into Redondo Beach!
