Mailboxes

Of all the things we saw on this route, the mailboxes were my favorite. Not sure why, but when
I was growing up, we had one of these in front of our house until the neighborhood grew up and we got mail delivered to the front door mail slot.

In Canada a lot of home delivery has been cancelled in favor of community mailboxes. Not unlike the system depicted in your photo.
