Mr Pickwick :)
I think this treatment suits the subject really well - looks like it could have come out of one of Mr. Dicken's novels.
A fun shot - well captured!

Loved the original, but I think this just pips it at the post. The sketch quality really suits the subject.

My dad was the town doctor. And he always has these caricature calendars posted on the office wall of physician scenes. They had a surreal cartoon quality that I found qaint, amusing and entertaining.I loved them. This image is in a similar vein.Really excellent work! V!

I think it's a dramatic improvement on a great image.

You do sure have some wonderfully colourful characters wandering about :)
Wonderful catch. My pref is the undoctored one - but both are great.

Incredible treatment on this! It does look like a character drawing out of a childrens book! Great job!

It's better, for sure ! Like a drawing for a kid book. I like very much!
Regards, Pascale.

I like the filtering. I agree that it is better with the more painterly presentation. It is almost like a watercolor washed india ink drawing. Nice!

Am I allowed to like both equally (and a lot...); but for different reasons?!?
