The Cupola Hupola
(07.26.05)

There are many things Williamsburg Virginia is known for and one has got to be for its cupolas. They even have cupolas on outhouses (or 'Necessaries' as they call them). Here is one of the newer cupolas in town ;)

This is the same cupola as was in "Strolling Down DOG Street" of a few days ago, only tonight, taken from a different perspective on the backside.

Nice diagonal transition and lighting. All you need is someone in the little room looking out.

Love this one! Very nice composition and exposure. I remember last week's with this similar structure in the background and how much I liked it in that composition. Great to see it from another perspective and good to know now that it's called a cupola.

This is a very nice night shot. Gives me an idea for the cupola on the firehouse. I love the brass ball on top; quite elegant. Cupolas give a bit of civility to a town, don't you think.

Polishing the brass knob must be worse then painting every five years :>) Looks lovely however.

Your cupola runneth over.
