The Backside of the Sun
(07.21.05)

The heat of the sun was oppressive today. All life bowed, wilting from its strength... including me. All but one, this sunflower stood alone in defiance.

Fanatastic detail and really like your crop and perspective here. I hear ya on the heat. It's very much the same here; the heat and humidity have certainly taken their toll around the garden. And the climate makes it tough to go out and spend quality time shooting.

HEY! Great idea! and how weird, when I saw the thumb, I thought, "the backside of a sunflower" and that was ALMOST your title!
